HOW TO FIX A BROKEN MAKEUP COMPACT

Have you ever had your heart broken? Then you know what it feels like when you drop your favourite compact and watch it shatter into a million pieces.

While that may be a little dramatic, don’t fret. You can DIY your broken makeup compact into 3 simple steps.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Rubbing alcohol
  • A spoon, spatula or I used the end of a makeup brush.

STEP 1

Add a small amount of rubbing alcohol and mix it into a fine paste. (You can mix the product in a separateΒ container. After my first attempt, I would suggest mixing it in the original pan.

STEP 2

Spead it evenly in the pan. The finish will not be as nice as when you first bought it but it’s better than nothing.

STEP 3

Let it sit so that the rubbing alcohol can evaporateΒ and the product can set. Voila good as new (almost!).

The same goes for other powdered products, I used this method to bring my favourite highlighter back to life. Unfortunately, your product will never be exactly the same but when you spend an arm and a leg on a highlighter you’re not going to just throw it out!

  1. that’s way easier than I thought it would be 😍 do the products still have a powdery consistency afterwards?

    1. Certain products do, this blush was a great example. However, other products will never be the same unfortunately. It’s better to try this method than just throw them out though πŸ™‚
