The warmer months are finally upon us, which means it’s time to start thinking about summer fashion.
I can not wait to pull out some of my favourite denim shorts and cute tees. There are some trends in particular that have me super excited for the warm summer nights and trips to the beach.
Here are some of my favourite trends that I can’t wait to see this summer and for under $80, which is an added bonus.
I know what you’re thinking “florals for spring? Groundbreaking.” Yet, there is nothing more easy, breezy and beautiful than a loose-fitting, floral dress in the summer.
Maxi dresses are perfect to throw on over a bikini and this particular dress has a relaxed and beachy vibe. You could also go out to dinner after a day at the beach in this dress.
This dress by ASOS is not only $137 down to $55 but it’s super cute and versatile. I can see myself walking along the beach in this mini dress and then heading up to a cafe to meet the girls for lunch.
The bright yellow colour makes it cute and fun yet the high neck and lined crochet gives it a touch of elegance.
This square cut triangle bikini in pink would certainly be a head turner at the beach. Whether you’re tan or your skin hasn’t seen the light of day in months (me), this bikini would be flattering on all skin tones.
The top is just $25 and the bottoms are $22. It also comes in white however, white bathing suits can be trial and error.
Another bright piece because they simply look great on all skin tones. This one-piece bathing suit, in particular, would be great for my more busty girls.
The moulded cups and underwire would really provide support, whilst the stitched detailing looks super flattering. You want to look great but you also need to feel great, especially at the beach!
I’m off to Bali this week and whilst looking for the perfect coverup, I came across this sheer beach kaftan. Perfect for lounging around the hotel pool or at the beach.
This kaftan is a lot less formal than the above dresses yet it still gives you some coverage so you’re not completely bare.
As you can see I am loving pops of colour for summer at the beach. The more affordable pieces that I’m loving are from ASOS and Showpo – this post was inspired by Lyst.com.au
